Entries for the Friends Photo Competition is now open to all members. This year we focus on celebrating biodiversity ‘Life in the Gardens’.

“Botanic gardens hold documented collections of living plants for the purposes of scientific research, conservation, public display and education. Exploring the world of plants and their relationships, they aim to protect and sustain biodiversity for human wellbeing and the planet”

Its super easy to enter – simply read the terms and conditions below and post your photo to friendsgcrbg@gmail.com by 27th of August, 2021. Winning photos will be featured in our Friends 2022 Christmas Calendar, funds raised from this Calendar helps Friends grow and manage the Botanic Gardens along with its partner the City of Gold Coast.

Friends Photo Competition Terms & Conditions.

  • Entries are free and are open to members of the Friends of the Gold Coast Regional Botanic Gardens (GCRBG).
  • Photos must be taken within the last two years and above all taken at the GCRBG.
  • There are two age groups. Adults and Child/Youth.
  • Three categories to choose from. A – Garden Scapes, B – Native Plants, C – Wildlife.
  • Each member may enter up to three (3) images.
  • All entries must be submitted to friendsgcrbg@gmail.com by close of entries: 27th of August, 2021, 5 pm AEST.
  • Email to include file name (Category-Firstname-Lastname-Phototitle) along with short narrative and contact number.

  • In addition, we would also like to welcome to the judging panel Kate Heffernan Honorary Life Member of the Friends and Paul Cockbain Curator of the Gold Coast Regional Botanic Gardens.
