The Friends regularly engage with the community of the Gold Coast to promote the Gold Coast Regional Botanic Gardens and encourage their involvement in the many activities in the Gardens.
Friends actively participate in Botanic Gardens Day in May and City of Gold Coast Environment Day in June, Tree Planting Day in July and Botanical Bazaar in August each year and enjoy the interaction with locals and visitors alike.
Local residents have regularly been involved in community planting days since the early days in 2003 and take pride in their contribution to the growth of their Botanic Gardens.
