Friends Nursery

Native Plant Nursery - open on the first Friday of the month - 8am to 11 am (except January).

Find the Friends Nursery

Take the path below the Friends Centre, up the steps on right, then on up the winding walkway or park near the toilets before the exit and follow the path through the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Walk.

We encourage you to grow regional native plants which have already adapted to our area so grow well in local soils and are happy with our weather cycles.

If you have a balcony, native ground covers can be hardy, spilling over pot edges adding a green lushness.

Within the backyard shrubs provide a refuge for birds and wildlife.

Differing cycles of flowers call the bees, add colour, provide shade and give a bushland feeling.

Have acreage? We have a large a tree for you and plants to help aid that riverbank or slope.

We grow selected native plants and threatened species for the Gold Coast Regional Botanic Gardens.

If you see a plant you like in the Botanic Gardens’ Plant Collection, come and chat with us about how it will sit on your property, then buy it.
