Gold Coast Regional Botanic Gardens at 230 Ashmore Rd Benowa
Established in 2003 the Gold Coast Regional Botanic Gardens share the role of botanic gardens across Australia and the world, as a centre for education, horticulture, science, enjoyment and beauty. They are a unique experience for visitors. Rich with regional flora in the Mangroves to Mountains Transect and Regional Collections, they also include the Horticulture Display Gardens, demonstrating mostly exotic plant species compatible with Gold Coast gardens. Among other feature plant collections are the Bush Food Garden, Regional Arboretum and the Story of our Country landscape which features plants used by the Indigenous Yugambeh people of the region.
